The Flowers You Find

This collection started with a request to photograph some Iris blooms. These particular Iris have been in my family for generations, as they are descended from a few bulbs that my Great-Grandmother started many decades ago.

When I was done photographing the flowers as they grew, my Mom sugested that I cut one to take home to photograph in my makeshift studo. I did, and when I was done, I could not believe that the resulting photos came from my camera.

I began to take photos of more flowers. I wanted to keep the images simple - a single bloom in a clear vase against a light background - to allow the viewer to focus on the singular beauty of each individual flower.
